The outreach worker is the first contact between the NGO and the beneficiaries and is in charge of finding and maintaining the motivation of the beneficiaries. They play a pivotal role within the community.
Objective 1: Work closely with the local community
Establish and maintain positive relationships with the target community, NGOs, Local authorities, and other community groups.
Organize community meetings and events to understand local issues and concerns.
Inform the wider community about the project as well as relevant project staff to ensure programmatic synergies.
Liaise with the local community to map the services available in the region and update it regularly.
Liaise with the local community stakeholders to facilitate smooth implementation of the project.
Support project visibility to raise awareness of activities and promote the success of the activities.
Objective 2: Carries out field assessments to identify vulnerable communities, potential beneficiaries, areas for community-based activities etc.
Conduct assessment to identifies potential beneficiaries and inform their families about the activities.
Develops a detailed weekly plan that specifies the outreach activities and the needs of the community
Objective 3 : Reporting
Report on weekly basis to the Center Coordinator on the results achieved of the field visits.
Collect and shares all the beneficiary data with the center coordinator (child registration forms, attendance forms, progress forms…)
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, referrals, and outcomes.
Ensure that the progress of project activity and the impact of the project is reported on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
Collect human interest stories, beneficiary interviews, and case studies, including photographs, in support of the Project Communications Officer.
Objective 4: Monitoring on the qualitative and quantitative progress of the project,
Attends training on the use of M & E tools and processes.
Objective 5: Referral
Networking with the appropriate services and resources based on the needs.
Provide assistance with navigating the healthcare system, social services, and government programs.
